Goals

• Raise awareness, following, and funds for History Emergent
• Generate public art and excitement
• Establish fruitful partnerships
• Get wheels in motion for a CNC sculpting facility in Austin

Basic Concept

Act 1

Sculpt a small scale (~1-2 meter) and some relief type sculptures, and drop them in town at night. These will be branded “History Emergent”, and be aimed at generating buzz and news. There will be a link or QR code plaque with a path to learn more and donate / support the project / pre-order a book, poster, artwork, or graphic novel, AND a cryptic announcement pointing to a time and date for ACT 2…

Act 2

Put a HUGE piece of stone somewhere close to down town Austin, as central or center East as possible, with a shade, and start sculpting in public. As the piece progresses, the view of the sculpture will be more and more obscured by ads and propaganda from the world of History Emergent, and our media modern landscape.

Have signs up promoting any sponsors.

Have plaques up pointing to the History Emergent pages, to donate / support the project / pre-order a book, poster, artwork, or graphic novel.

Front End Planning

1. Promote the event:
   • Create a website and social media accounts for "History Emergent."
   • Reach out to local media outlets (newspapers, TV stations, blogs) to generate press coverage.
   • Distribute flyers and posters in the downtown area and at local businesses.
   • Partner with local art schools, galleries, and museums to spread the word.
