Janus doesn't initially know he can hack the history.

And perhaps the history isn't initially fully online. It's in the works. The transition between Siri search results and history as memory.

Allowing teleportation would blur the line between digital and physical. Good or bad?

Could use surrogates, or "sleeves" as per Netflix's Altered Carbon?

Switch bodies, like cars in an autonomous future, instead of physically going from place to place just send consiousness.

This would require vast trust in others using your body, and tremendous tracking and logging of action necessary.

Augmented reality already blurs lines.

How blurry can I get while maintaining cohesive story?

The best way to show an audience the tech in a way they'll understand is to show it at a stage where it isn't perfect. This will also create conflict.
