There are a number of ways I think money can easily be saved on set. These things may seem mundane, but Rockefeller saved millions just by reducing the number of nails used to seal a barrel of oil.
Ice
How to save $5-15/day on ice:
- Always load drinks first, then ice. Cold falls, heat rises. Also, you'll fit drinks more densely in the cooler.
- As ice melts, DON'T drain all the water. If the water is still cold, it's helping keep the temperature in the cooler down.
- Buy ice in the evening, and keep in a highly insulated cooler (Yeti or Comparable) on set or in a production vehicle. It will keep for the morning. This saves precious morning time and ensures everyone gets proper sleep.

Crafty Distribution Strategy
Save time by prepping ready to-go crafty sets:

This would enable better cost and consumption tracking data. This would reduce crafty set up time, store time,
Coffee
30-100 cup coffee percolators take 10 minutes to prep per day, and save ~$30/day over commonly used Starbucks Travelers (96 oz for $25 each) which take time to pick up.
Meals
Collect meal choices via google forms. Use COUNTIF formula to calculate number of meals in the resulting sheet. Have 3-4 choices. Include spaces for folks to elucidate any dietary restrictions and concerns.
